Grass Pickup Discontinued

The Village of Clemmons no longer provides yard waste pick up for grass clippings. For 2022, the Village of Clemmons provides pick-up on a set schedule for Limbs and Leaves only. For more information on the Leaf, Limb, and Mulch program, please visit our website.

The Village recommends several options to replace the collection of grass:

  • Use a mulching mower/mulching blades.
  • Mow regularly, recycling clippings of an inch or less to the lawn where they will filter down to the soil surface and decompose quickly.
  • Use grass clippings to thinly mulch around other plants.
  • When hiring a landscaper, confirm removal of grass clippings is included in the scope of work and quote.

Please do not dispose of yard waste in residential Trash or Recycle carts. N.C. State Law (130A-309.10(F) 3) prohibits the disposal of yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, tree limbs, brush, untreated wood, etc.) in sanitary landfills.
