After conducting a regional search, Clemmons Village Manager Scott Buffkin announced the hiring of Nasser Rahimzadeh as the Village’s new Planning and Community Development Director.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Mr. Rahimzadeh to our staff here in Clemmons,” Buffkin said. “He brings a wealth of planning and development knowledge and experience. He will be a great asset for the Village.”
Rahimzadeh will join the Clemmons staff in July bringing nearly 10 years of experience in planning, zoning enforcement and development review. He has served as Senior Planner for the City of Albemarle, North Carolina since 2014 and previously as Deputy Director of Zoning and Inspections for the City of Winchester, Virginia. Rahimzadeh also worked in long range planning for the City of Greensboro analyzing and developing planning policy and promoting transparency.
Rahimzadeh attended Mount Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in anthropology and philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Public Affairs Degree with a concentration in community and economic development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Rahimzadeh will take on many ongoing projects including implementation of the Village’s recently updated comprehensive plan and coordination of the Market Center Drive, Hwy 158 sidewalk and numerous other continuing projects within the Village.
