Annual Tree Lighting

Family looking at treeEach year the Village of Clemmons hosts the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Join your neighbors for snowfall, music, cookies, and a visit from Santa. The community gathers for the ceremonial lighting of the tree. Each year, a family within the community is selected to light the tree.

The Tree Lighting event, sponsored by Chick-fil-A of Clemmons will take place on the front lawn of Village Hall.

RAIN DATE: November 30

Snow will begin to fall at 5:30pm, and the Triad Express will be ready to go! Ride the train with one of our very own community police officers! The Morgan Elementary Chorus and the West Forsyth Drumline will have separate performances.

The tree is scheduled to be lit at 6:30pm.  Santa will arrive shortly after to visit with all of the kids.  Be ready for lots of photo opportunities.

***Parking available across from Village Hall at Clemmons United Methodist Church***

Thank you Clemmons United Methodist Church for providing overflow parking for the event. Stop by their hospitality table for hot chocolate.

Be Kind Coffee Co. will have a special holiday drink bar with delicious drinks available to purchase.

Chick-fil-A Clemmons will be on site selling sandwiches, chips, and waters.

We are thrilled to announce that this year's lighting of the tree ceremony will feature Mr. Sam Lester and his son, Elijah. Sam is a highly respected employee of Public Works who has quietly contributed to the success of the Village for years. Despite facing significant personal challenges, including the recent loss of his wife and the responsibility of caring for his disabled son, Sam has continued to work tirelessly and share his vast knowledge and expertise with his colleagues. Elijah, who brings joy to everyone he meets, will be joining his father in this special event. We are honored to have Sam and Elijah be a part of this year's ceremony and to celebrate their love and resilience in the face of adversity.
